Open Anti Market Abuse Forum for Energy and Commodities to be run in London
17th December 2018 - ETR Advisory and the Market Abuse Centre will jointly organise an open "anti abuse" forum for the energy and commodities industries, to run in London on Monday 11th March 2019. This discussion forum is open to all professionals in the European energy and commodities markets to provide a public mechanism to discuss issues arising out of the implementation of MAR and REMIT. No membership of any organisation or venue is required to take part. Attendees must work in a role connected with anti-abuse activity or technology to participate.
The coordinators are bringing this forum to the industry on a non-commercial basis, with charges used to fund venue hire and logistical costs. All discussions will be made public on an anonymised basis. The intention of the forum is to allow open discussion on the real issues that market participants face when implementing these rules. All roles connected to the industry are invited, which spans not only market participants, venues and regulators, but also technology providers and advisers.
